Bertazzoni induction cooktop & range repair
Thirteen induction ranges and fifteen induction cooktops — the largest induction line on this fleet. There is no published code table for any of them, so what settles an induction call is the cabinet under the counter: whether the boards have anywhere to send their heat.

01
Read the code and what preceded it
On this make the induction codes are a short, real list rather than a long invented one. Which code, whether it clears on a power cycle, and how long it takes to come back separate a board that has failed from a board that is protecting itself.
-
02
Look under the counter before anything else
Every position has a power board beneath it, those boards make heat, and they are cooled by air pulled through the cabinet. A sealed island has nowhere for that air to come from. Ventilation, clearance and what is stored underneath are checked first because they are free and because they are usually it.
-
03
Test each zone under real load
With a pan that the coil can see, at power, for long enough to get warm. An induction zone that works for thirty seconds and fails at four minutes is a thermal problem, and a thirty-second test finds nothing.
-
04
Separate the coil, the board and the supply
Three different parts and three different prices. The supply matters more here than on any other appliance in the kitchen: these draw hard, and a marginal circuit shows up as an intermittent zone rather than as a tripped breaker.

Induction cooktop repair cost
Twenty-eight appliances here induce rather than burn. This is one of only two things on the site that announces its problems with a code, and a real share of these calls end with an installation corrected rather than a part fitted.
- The 28 induction surfaces: 15 cooktops, 13 ranges
- Power board, zone sensor, or the cooling path
- No published code table — the cabinet under the counter is the first suspect

The Bertazzoni units we carry this work out on
-
Induction · Sealed gas · Brass burners · Rangetops · 24" · 30" · 36" · 48" Bertazzoni cooktop repair in Miami
Thirty-four surfaces: nineteen gas, fifteen induction, and nine of them rangetops rather than cooktops — the same repair under a different word. Ten run the same brass burners as the ranges. The induction tops publish no code table — the maker issues installation sheets for them and nothing more — so what settles an induction call is the cabinet underneath and whether its boards can shed their heat.
- One induction zone cutting out while the rest keep going
- A gas burner clicking without catching, or dropping out on simmer
- A code on the induction panel that comes back after the power is cycled
-
All gas · Dual fuel · Induction · Brass burners · Cast iron griddle · 30" · 36" · 48" Bertazzoni range repair in Miami
Thirty-seven ranges in the current line and the reason most people know this maker at all. Eleven are all gas, nine dual fuel, thirteen induction; ten of them run brass burners and sixteen carry a cast iron griddle across the middle. A 48-inch range is two ovens, six burners and that griddle in one machine, and any one of those is a reason to call. Almost none of it announces a code when it stops — this is a make you diagnose by what it does, not by what it displays.
- A burner that clicks and will not catch, or catches and drops out
- The oven running hot or cold with nothing on the display to say so
- The griddle heating unevenly while the burners either side are perfect

About Bertazzoni induction cooktop & range repair
Twenty-eight induction machines, which is a lot
Thirteen induction ranges and fifteen induction cooktops in the current line. That makes this make one of the more committed induction builders on this fleet, and it means the repair conversation here is genuinely different from the gas one: no burners, no ignition, no gas. Each position is a coil and a power board, and the heat is made in the pan rather than under it.
The one part of this brand that publishes codes
If your top is showing something, there is nowhere to look it up. This maker publishes installation sheets for its induction cooktops and no code chapter anywhere — we read every manual its own product pages link to in order to be sure. Photograph the display, note whether it clears when the power is cycled, and note how long it takes to return. Those three facts often decide the part before the visit, which is the job a code would have done.
Why so many induction calls are really cabinet calls
The single most common reason an induction top misbehaves in this city is a cabinet with nowhere for air to go. The installation instructions ask for a specific opening and a specific clearance; a beautiful sealed island built afterwards does not know that. The appliance shows it as an intermittent zone rather than as a breakdown, which is exactly why it gets misdiagnosed as a failing board. We check the airflow before we quote the electronics.
What the repair costs
Induction work starts at $225. A power board is the expensive outcome and is quoted separately; a ventilation problem, which is a real share of these calls, costs the diagnostic and some honest advice.

Questions about bertazzoni induction cooktop & range repair
One zone cuts out and the others are fine.
That is usually heat rather than the coil. The board under that position is shutting down to protect itself, which on a well-ventilated cooktop means the board, and on a sealed island usually means the cabinet. Three things cost nothing to check: whether the cabinet has the ventilation the installation instructions asked for, whether anything is stored tight underneath, and whether the same zone fails with a different pan.
It shows a code. Does that mean it is finished?
Usually the opposite. A code is the appliance telling you which part of itself is unhappy, which is a far better starting point than silence — and on this make it is a privilege, because almost nothing else in the line reports anything. Several of these codes describe a condition the cooktop will recover from: too hot underneath, a pan it cannot detect, a supply outside the range the board will accept.
The cooktop does not recognize my pan.
Then the pan is probably not magnetic enough, or not flat enough, or too small for the zone. A magnet that sticks firmly to the base is the test. It is also worth knowing that a pan that worked for years can stop working as its base distorts — induction needs contact across the zone, not at three points.
Is induction more expensive to repair than gas?
Per repair, generally yes, because the parts are electronic rather than mechanical. Per decade, it is less clear cut: there is no ignition to age, no burner to clean, no gas valve to meter. What we would say honestly is that induction failures are less frequent and less cheap, and the single biggest factor in how often they happen is whether the appliance can breathe.
