Repair cost
Bertazzoni oven heating & sensor repair cost
The electric side: an element, a temperature sensor or a relay, on a wall oven that has to come forward out of a tall housing. The part is ordinary; the diagnosis is real work on a machine that publishes no code.
- From $95 diagnostic, credited to the repair
- 59 cities and neighborhoods covered
- OEM parts available on order
- In writing the price, before anything is opened

What moves it
Why two of the same job cost different amounts
These apply at the same time and in both directions. Which of them is true of your kitchen is what the on-site diagnostic settles.
-
Cold, or merely wrong
An oven that produces no heat at all and an oven that runs sixty degrees under are not the same repair. The first is usually an element or a relay; the second is usually a sensor that has drifted, and a drifted sensor is the cheaper of the two.
-
Which element
Bake, broil and the convection element behind the fan baffle are three parts and three levels of access. The behavior tells us which before we arrive: browning on top only, no browning at all, or a convection setting that does nothing.
-
Where the oven lives
A wall oven in a tall housing has to come forward, and on the dual-fuel ranges the electric cavity sits above a gas top that is worked around rather than through. Both are planned time rather than a surprise.
-
Whether the door is part of it
An oven that heats but will not hold temperature is sometimes the seal rather than the element, and a seal is the cheapest ending this repair has. It is checked before a part is named.
The work itself
What we actually do
The job behind the figure: what it involves, when a symptom points at it, and what we check first.
-
from $185 Oven heating & sensor repair
An oven that will not reach temperature, overshoots it, or takes twice as long as it used to. Three parts account for almost all of it, and the one that fails most often is also the cheapest — which is why nothing here is ordered before the sensor has been measured.
- The sensor measured cold, in a minute, before anything is opened
- Bake, broil and convection tested as three separate circuits
- The door seal checked, because an oven cannot hold what it leaks

About Bertazzoni oven heating & sensor repair cost
Why the diagnosis costs something here
Because the oven will not help. There is no code and no error log — a sensor that has drifted twenty degrees behaves exactly like an element that is failing intermittently, and both present as "it is not cooking properly". The way you tell them apart is a measurement: a temperature sensor is a known resistance at a known temperature, and an element is a current under load. That is ten minutes with a meter and it is what separates a correct part from a guessed one.
What moves it
Which element, and how the oven comes out. A convection element behind its baffle is a longer job than a bake element.
What is included
Diagnosis by measurement, the part, the labor, the oven refitted and aligned in its housing, and a full preheat run and checked against a separate thermometer. Exact cost is confirmed after an on-site diagnostic.

Before you book
Questions about bertazzoni oven heating & sensor repair cost
My oven runs cold by about fifty degrees. Is that a repair or a setting?
Check the offset first — these ovens have a calibration adjustment and a small drift is meant to be corrected there. A fifty-degree error is beyond that, and it is usually a temperature sensor rather than an element, because an element does not go half-strength.
It browns on top and not underneath. What does that mean?
That the broil element is working and the bake element is not, which is a useful thing to say when you book because it names the part before anybody arrives.
Is a wall oven more expensive to repair than a range oven?
The part is the same. The appointment is longer, because a wall oven comes forward out of a housing cut to it and goes back aligned. That difference is in the figure and it is not a premium for the badge.
