## Bertazzoni repair in Miami, named for the work rather than the appliance.

Because nobody calls about "a range" — they call about a burner that lights and dies, a griddle that will not come up to heat, an oven that runs cold at the back, a hood that has stopped clearing steam, or an induction zone that cuts out under a heavy pan. Find the job that matches what your machine is doing; each page says what we check, in what order, and what it starts at.

30 — repair jobs on this site

from $95 — diagnostic, credited to the repair

OEM — parts available on order

3 — counties covered end to end

## What we repair, and what each one starts at

The figure on a card is a starting point for this equipment in South Florida, not a quote. What moves it is which part, and how much of the appliance has to come apart to reach it.

Nothing is listed here yet. Describe the job in your own words when you book — the list on this page is what we publish, not the limit of what we repair.

## Most of these machines will not tell you anything.

One kind of appliance in this kitchen announces a problem in words: the **dishwashers**, which put an F-number on the display and whose meanings the maker publishes. That is eight machines out of a catalog of a hundred and eighty. Part of the built-in refrigeration adds a short set of E-numbers.

Everything else — every gas range, every gas oven, every induction top, all thirty-seven hoods — has nothing to look up. It signals instead: a flame that lifts off the port, a yellow tip where there should be blue, an oven that browns on one side, a hood that sounds right and clears nothing. **Those signals are the diagnosis**, and the description you give on the phone is where the visit genuinely begins. It is also why several figures here carry measuring time rather than a bigger part.

## Brass, cast iron, and one coffee machine.

**Brass burners, on twenty machines.** Ten ranges and ten cooktops here carry brass rather than sealed steel. They are serviced rather than swapped — caps and crowns off, ports cleared, flame set, the finish left alone — and it is priced as the maintenance it is.

**The cast-iron griddle and grill, on eighteen.** Sixteen ranges and two cooktops carry one. It has its own burner, its own valve and its own ignition under a heavy plate that comes out before anything is reachable, and it fails on its own while the rest of the top is perfect.

**One built-in coffee machine.** Exactly one model in the line, and the page says so rather than pretending to a category. Brew unit, pump, boiler and descale.

## Four steps, and you approve the third one

You tell us the model and what it is doing

We come with the parts that problem usually needs

Diagnosis on site, then the scope and the price in writing

The work, and a warranty on it

## Or start from the machine instead

If you would rather begin with what you own than with what it is doing, these are the 10 appliance pages.

## This list is not the limit of what we repair.

These are the jobs we are called out for most on Bertazzoni equipment. We also work on machines from lines the maker no longer sells, and on the older Italian-built ranges that are in no current catalog at all.

If your problem is not here, describe it in your own words when you book.

## The questions we are asked first

Are you an Bertazzoni service center appointed by the maker? — No, and we will not say we are. We are an independent repair company, not affiliated with, authorized by or endorsed by any manufacturer, and we do not carry out repairs on any manufacturer's behalf. What we do carry is our own warranty on the work we performed and the parts we fitted, and OEM parts are available on order.

Can you give me a price over the phone? — We can narrow it and we will. What we cannot do honestly is name the figure, because the same behavior has several ordinary causes hundreds of dollars apart and only the appliance settles which one is yours. Every page here carries a starting figure; the exact cost is confirmed after an on-site diagnostic and agreed in writing before anything is opened.

My range has no error code. Is that a problem? — No — it is normal on this equipment. Only the dishwashers and the induction tops publish codes at all. A gas range diagnoses by flame, by heat and by measurement, and a good description of what it does and when it started is worth more than a number would be. If yours is a dishwasher or an induction top and it is showing something, write it down before you clear it.

Several appliances need looking at. One visit or three? — One, and it costs considerably less. The travel and the setup are the bulk of what a service call costs, so a second and third machine seen on the same visit are far cheaper than two more appointments. Say what else is in the kitchen when you book, even if only one thing is misbehaving.

Do you work on gas, or only electric? — Both, and gas is the larger half of this make. Any gas connection we open is remade and leak-tested before we leave. If you can smell gas now, do not wait for an appointment — leave the doors open, do not touch a switch, and call the gas utility from outside.

How soon can somebody come? — Tell us where you are in Miami-Dade, Broward or Palm Beach when you book and we will come back with the earliest slot we can genuinely keep. We would rather give you a real time than a comfortable one.

## What Bertazzoni repair involves in South Florida

This maker is known for gas, and that single fact runs through every job on this page. Thirty-two of the cooking appliances in the current catalog burn gas against twenty-eight that induce, and a gas problem is nearly always a cheap component and a careful hour: an ignitor, a burner cap sitting proud, a blocked port, a valve, a thermocouple. Several rows here are set at the low end of the market band for exactly that reason, because the commonest version of the call ends with a burner cleaned properly rather than a part fitted.

Three subjects on this list belong to this maker and to no other site on this fleet. **Brass burners**, on ten ranges and ten cooktops, which are serviced rather than replaced. The **cast-iron griddle and grill**, on eighteen appliances, with its own burner and its own valve under a plate that has to come out first. And a single **built-in coffee machine** — one model, said out loud on its page instead of dressed up as a category.

Ventilation is a fifth of the catalog and almost none of it is the appliance. Thirty-seven hoods, and a hood that pulls badly is usually the duct, the run length, the make-up air or a filter long before it is the motor. That is why the airflow page is one of the two cheapest on this site and says plainly that a real share of these visits end with nothing fitted.

The climate is part of the work here too, and not as a figure of speech. Salt and dust on a condenser a few blocks from the water. An induction board in a sealed island with nowhere to send its heat. Grease and humidity in a hood duct that runs a long way to an outside wall. Mineral in the water, which is what eventually stops a steam oven and a coffee machine. A storm season that resets controls and leaves machines looking dead when they are only waiting. Those are the things we actually see across Miami-Dade, Broward and Palm Beach, and several of them are cheaper to prevent than to repair.

## Tell us the model and what it is doing.

You will have the scope and the price in writing before anything is opened.
